As an Application Engineering Specialist, you’ll turn vacuum and abatement expertise into real‑world outcomes—keeping critical tools online and customers confident. You’ll work with guidance from experienced mentors while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Field Service.

Imagine This Scenario

A production line shows a throughput dip. You compare vacuum gauge trends, review a turbomolecular pump’s electrical schematic, check chiller performance, and run a 5 Why analysis. You pinpoint the likely cause, outline a repair and optimization plan, and present your recommendations—translating complex details into clear steps for the customer and internal teams.

Your Impact
  • Elevate equipment reliability and performance across vacuum pumps, dry pumps, and abatement systems.
  • Strengthen customer trust through precise product selection guidance, clear documentation, and follow‑through.
  • Enable smarter decisions by turning data and design information into actionable recommendations.
Core Responsibilities
  • Present and clarify design, application, and service details for ETI Components Vacuum and Abatement offerings; deliver polished presentations.
  • Work with Sales to assess customer requirements; compile specifications and data, coordinating with Ebara teams worldwide.
  • Provide technical applications and marketing support for solutions operating in complex environments.
  • Counsel Sales, Marketing, and Field Service on specifications, selection, and part numbering.
  • Assist in developing and implementing detailed customer installation plans.
  • Address problems of limited scope through structured analysis of identifiable factors.
  • Share knowledge via follow‑up technical communications and application notes.
  • Adhere to EBARA safety policies; complete required safety training; keep work areas compliant with Ebara and customer safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Chemical or Physics preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 1–4 years of experience, preferably within the semiconductor sector.
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Self‑starter with excellent time management; collaborative, organized, and relationship‑oriented.
  • Demonstrated leadership/program management potential; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to provide a good driving record for offsite customer visits when required.
