Job Description:
Job Summary
The QAP Internship program is crafted to educate the candidate (current college student) about the different aspects of the construction business and manufacturing of aggregates. Project engineer interns will gain hands-on experience through assisting project engineers' management of project(s) by means of cost management and analysis, scheduling, billings, and project management. Project engineer interns will also be encouraged to observe, learn, and assist with field and office engineering, administrative, and technical duties. Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe project site and work environment in accordance with Colaska policy, participate with Goal Zero principles.
  • Attending pre-bid meetings and bid openings.
  • Works closely with the project team supervising the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.
  • Assists the project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapts schedules and work tasks accordingly.
  • Effectively lead the work environment to ensure safety, environmental, regulatory and production targets are met.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships to improve company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements
  • Must be a self-motivated and can set deadlines and implement them.
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs.
  • Capable of technical writing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data.
