Job Title: Real Estate Development Project Manager
Location: New York City (In-person, On-site)
Job Summary: As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our Head of Development by overseeing active multifamily real estate development projects in New York City. This position requires expertise in reading drawings, understanding and managing the construction processes including permitting and coordination, as well as the predevelopment process. The candidate must be organized and driven.
Key Responsibilities:
- Predevelopment Coordination: Work with architects, engineers, and consultants to conduct feasibility studies, develop budgets, create project schedules, and coordinate all work products.
- Plan and Drawing Management: Read, interpret, and utilize Revit and AutoCAD for design tasks throughout process including design plans, shop drawings and RFIs. Strong understanding of all design aspects involved in a ground up development including SOE, FO, Structural, MEP, and Architectural.
- Permitting Process: Oversee compliance with local building codes and manage the permitting process to ensure timely approvals.
- Bidding Process: Develop scopes of work and oversee preparation of bid and leveling packages.
- Construction Management: Coordinate the construction process, handling RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring all parties meet project milestones. Create and maintain project schedules across all phases of development. Lead meetings, track action items, and manage deadlines.
- Budgeting/Requisition Processing: Oversee and Manage month-to-month bank requisition process. Manage budgets, change orders, and loan related reporting.
- Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination among architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor project progress and quality, addressing issues promptly to maintain standards and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of architectural plans, construction processes, and permitting.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
- Background in architecture or engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Highly Organized with strong attention to detail
Salary Range:Â $115,000 - $125,000
