Job description

Inventory Specialist Intern

Albany, NY

$20 to $22 hourly

Position Summary
The Inventory Intern supports daily parts room operations by maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing materials, and ensuring timely availability of components. This role provides hands-on experience in supply chain and warehouse management within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming parts and materials
  • Organize and maintain inventory for accuracy and accessibility
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Track inventory levels and report discrepancies
  • Pick, pack, and stage parts for internal or customer use
  • Update inventory records in internal systems and spreadsheets
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and service teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
