Position: School Psychologist Intern
Starting late August 2026 through June 2027
Stipend: $21,000

Paid hours/day: 7 hour 40 minute day including a duty free lunch of 35 minutes
Purpose: The primary goal of the internship is to promote future district leaders in the field of school psychology who possess a considerable professional knowledge base, skills in implementing evidence-based practice designed to promote students' academic and social competencies, and a commitment to research, ethical practice, and continual critical and reflective analyses. In addition, the internship is designed to acquaint students with the cultural diversity and practices of school psychology. The School Psychology Intern will report to the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services.
Essential Functions:                  



























  • Collaboration with experienced school psychologists and professional teaching and support staff
  • Psychological and educational evaluations of preschool and school age students
  • Discusses with other members of the school effective ways of assisting pupils
  • Active participation in the CPSE and CSE process
  • Facilitator of individual or group therapy sessions
  • Assist in the development and periodic evaluation of standardized testing programs for use throughout the school system
  • Case management of individual students
  • Active participation in building level RTI teams
  • Offers his/her assistance to teachers and administrators concerning the psychological aspects of teaching and learning
  • May be asked to initiate and carry out or direct research projects under the guidance of a licensed school psychologist
  • Intern assignment will be at various buildings and may include a preschool component


Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services.

Qualifications Profile:
Certification/License: Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
Education: Enrolled in an Accredited Master's Degree in related area preferred
Experience: Experience working with a diverse population desired
Demands, Hazards: Works in standard office and school building environments.
Equipment: Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel: Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
