Your New Role

The DP&S Business Development team sits at the intersection of content, commerce, and revenue strategy within CNN Digital.

Supporting CNN's Commerce product, the team drives revenue growth for CNN Underscored, CNN's trusted destination for product reviews and recommendations, through strategic affiliate marketing partnerships that are constantly optimized to maximize business performance.

In addition to affiliate revenue, the team oversees sponsorships, content licensing, ad sales collaborations and other monetization initiatives that support the continued expansion of CNN's commerce business.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of advertiser sponsorship campaigns, from onboarding and insertion order preparation through asset management, campaign launch and delivery, as well as invoicing and billing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage campaign assets, content development, and execution timelines, and assist in creating advertiser mockups, requesting creative assets and organizing files in SharePoint.
  • Pull, track, and maintain affiliate campaign performance data and manage reporting in excel.
  • Develop post-campaign recap reports highlighting key performance metrics and insights for advertisers.
  • Conduct research, reporting, and analysis to support business development initiatives, partnership opportunities, and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide real-time operational and analytical support during major tentpole commerce events, including Prime Day and Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
  • Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives across the Business Development team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital media, editorial commerce, and the evolving content landscape.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Adaptable and able to quickly pivot between projects and priorities.
  • Able to remain focused and produce high-quality work across recurring, process-driven assignments.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear, confident, and professional communicator.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working with data and quantitative analysis.
  • Embraces feedback and continuously seeks opportunities to learn and improve.
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What To Know Before Applying:

  • Program dates:
  • Start Date: October 12th
  • End Date: December 18th
  • Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
  • Interviewing will take place from early August through mid-September. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing compensation for roles in locations where legally required. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
