Your role and responsibilities
As a Portfolio Development intern at IBM Ventures, the venture capital arm of IBM, you will partner directly with entrepreneurs to accelerate the growth of category-defining companies.
Your primary responsibility will be post-investment value creation, supporting founders, unlocking IBM's global resources, and driving strategic partnerships that create measurable impact.
You will act as a connector, strategist, and advocate for our portfolio companies, helping them navigate IBM, build traction with enterprise customers, and elevate their brand presence across the ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Founder & Portfolio Support: Build and own the relationships with founders to help them navigate IBM's resources, technology, and teams.
• Partnership Development: Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities between portfolio companies, IBM business units, and enterprise customers.
• Ecosystem & Event Execution: Plan and support high-impact events, workshops, and ecosystem engagements that elevate IBM Ventures and portfolio companies.
• Marketing & Communications: Support press, content, and visibility efforts-including announcements, storytelling, and digital presence.
• Value-Creation Programs: Develop and manage scalable programs, including mentorship networks, technology benefits, and partner offers.
