As a Data & AI Co-Op, you will work closely with the Data & AI team and cross-functional partners to support data modeling, AI application development, reporting, and foundational machine learning efforts. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Data & AI Solution Support
  • Assist in the implementation of data and AI solutions under supervision.
  • Support basic data modeling, AI engineering tasks, and foundational data science practices.
  • Create SQL queries to support reporting, dashboards, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Document processes and assist in maintaining AI pipelines and systems.
Machine Learning & AI Engineering Exposure
  • Participate in team collaboration to gain exposure to machine learning model training and deployment.
  • Learn and apply foundational AI engineering and machine learning practices.
  • Participate in training sessions to learn about AI engineering and machine learning tools used by the team.
  • Support the development of scalable data and AI workflows that integrate multiple systems and services.
Generative AI & Automation
  • Contribute to the development of AI-powered applications using large language models, APIs, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Learn to utilize LLM models to automate basic tasks and support the development of agentic solutions under supervision.
  • Gain exposure to LLM API integration, evaluation, and deployment practices.
  • Assist with the design and build of generative AI solutions that automate or enhance business processes.
Cloud-Based Data Solutions
  • Support the implementation of cloud-based data solutions by assisting with basic configuration and monitoring tasks.
  • Help the team ensure reliability and scalability across foundational cloud and AI projects.
  • Gain hands-on experience with cloud-based AI solutions, monitoring, and automation capabilities.
Application Integration & Team Support
  • Contribute to the integration of AI functionalities within software applications.
  • Support the team in implementing data and AI-driven applications using web frameworks.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects involving automation platforms, AI workflows, APIs, and software development best practices.
POTENTIAL PROJECT(S):
Generative AI Application Development
Design and build an AI-powered application using LLMs to automate or enhance a business process. Gain hands-on experience with prompt engineering, APIs, evaluation, and deployment.
AI Engineering & Automation Platform
Develop scalable data and AI workflows that integrate multiple systems and services. Implement cloud-based AI solutions, monitoring, and automation capabilities following engineering best practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Understanding of machine learning and Generative AI concepts
  • Familiarity with APIs and cloud platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for learning emerging AI technologies
NICE TO HAVE:

What We Are Looking For
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry Level.
Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.50 - $25/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
