Job description

Who We Are
BowerGroupAsia (BGA) is the premier strategic advisory and government affairs firm supporting the world's leading multinational companies across the Indo-Pacific and Africa. With approximately 250 professionals in 32 markets, BGA advises the world's leading AI, platform, cloud, semiconductor and digital infrastructure companies. The Technology team is building a deliberate, data-driven marketing apparatus to nurture leads, convert prospects and grow BGA's technology pipeline. This intern will sit at the center of that effort.
Position Summary
BGA seeks a marketing-focused intern to join the Technology business development team in Washington, DC. The intern will operationalize BGA Tech's marketing strategy - supporting owned-media execution, lead tracking, content production and BD research. The ideal candidate combines genuine interest in international affairs and technology policy with hands-on skills in marketing, content creation and analytics. This role offers direct exposure to senior BGA leadership and to a marketing program designed to feed a multi-million-dollar BD pipeline.
Responsibilities
  • Execute web, email and social media campaigns tied to BGA Technology's thought leadership products, including the Indo-Pacific Forecast and the State of AI Policy report.
  • Manage the Technology team's social media calendar, coordinating cadence across reports and avoiding oversaturation.
  • Produce and format content for LinkedIn, Pardot and the BGA website, including graphics built in Canva and short-form copy aligned with team voice and positioning.
  • Track Pardot engagement data, identify warm leads among readers and surface follow-up opportunities to the Tech BD team.
  • Build and maintain BGA's marketing target lists, including priority accounts, renewal-cycle prospects and event-driven outreach lists.
  • Build and maintain a growth dashboard tracking pipeline by source, content engagement, earned mentions and conversion outcomes.
  • Map industry associations in Washington, DC relevant to BGA's technology clients and prospects; track membership opportunities, events and decision-maker attendance.
  • Support Salesforce hygiene, including contact updates, lead scoring inputs and segmentation tied to Pardot data.
  • Draft read-aheads and briefing materials for senior BGA leadership ahead of DC-based client, prospect and association engagements.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative and BD research support to the DC-based Senior Director, Technology.

Qualifications
  • Pursuing or holding a degree in international affairs, communications, marketing, public policy or a related field; candidates combining international affairs coursework with marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology policy, the Indo-Pacific region and/or B2B professional services marketing.
  • Hands-on experience producing content in Canva or comparable design tools; familiarity with LinkedIn campaign management.
  • Working knowledge of marketing analytics concepts; experience with Pardot, Salesforce, HubSpot or similar platforms is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools for content creation and analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to translate technical policy content into clear, audience-appropriate copy.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable owning recurring execution tasks with limited supervision.
  • Authorization to work in the United States required.

Logistics
  • Location: Washington, DC (in-office, hybrid schedule).
  • Duration: One semester, with potential to extend.
  • Reports to: Senior Director, Technology.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV/resume and short writing sample (750-1000 words, attached to the cover letter). Please note that this is a paid internship, and a commitment of 15-35 hours per week is requested.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Please address application materials to Senior Director William Heidlage.
