Overview
This position drives the development of cost-effective applications that address business needs while aligning with the Bank's long-term technology goals. Determines the needs of assigned business areas through partnership and strategic collaboration. Translates needs into functional projects and technological solutions. Oversees projects to produce effective results and to maximize the return on investment. Manages an annual budget, including forecasting, and develops a strong associate team. Ensures that short-term results lead to the achievement of long-term strategic objectives through personal leadership, direction, and technical expertise.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Strategy - Drives project strategy to align with wider organizational goals and initiatives. Develops business cases that illustrate the cost vs. benefits of proposed initiatives. Represents the interests of business partners and IT as a principal liaison and consultant.
Business Support - Works closely with business partners and the Information Technology department to determine, address, and implement solutions for business needs. Ensures the reliability of deployed solutions by managing applications support and maintenance.
Project Management - Leads the implementation of projects and enhancements for new and existing applications, including the technical delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives. Develops methods of measuring and monitoring performance, and conveys project results to the appropriate parties.
Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes team achievements by providing professional development.
Position Specific Skills:
Knowledge of information technology as it relates to managing development, principles, and practices
Ability to manage and customize third party solutions
Managing vendor relationships to escalate and ensure support of ongoing business
Ability to develop short term and long term plans to support business needs
Ability to assess, acquire and retain tor appropriately manage talent
Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Information Technology including application development, support roles, and management.

Preferred Area of Experience:Financial services with Integration of third party solutions in on premise and cloud environment
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Preferred Licenses or Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Agile Project Manager IAPM, PMI-ACP. - IO

  • Experience leading technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
