Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Application Developer with strong telecommunications domain expertise and modern full-stack web application development skills. This position will support and enhance a mission-critical telecommunications operations platform that has been in production for more than ten years.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS, along with a strong understanding of telecommunications systems, operational workflows, and production environments. You will work within a mature application while contributing to new development, legacy modernization, performance improvements, and technical debt reduction.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance features for a mission-critical telecommunications operations platform.
  • Develop backend applications and services using PHP and Laravel.
  • Build responsive and maintainable front-end applications using Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Work within a large and mature codebase while maintaining backward compatibility and system stability.
  • Apply telecommunications domain knowledge to understand business requirements, network-service workflows, and operational processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex application, data, workflow, and production issues.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Use GitLab for source control, branching, merge requests, issue tracking, releases, and documentation.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
  • Validate peer development through functional testing, regression testing, and acceptance-criteria validation.
  • Create and maintain automated tests and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, operations teams, and telecommunications subject-matter experts.
  • Support production releases and troubleshoot operational issues when required.
  • Contribute to application modernization, technical debt reduction, performance improvements, and architectural planning.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and technical analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • Professional experience developing and supporting production web applications.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or a similar utility-first CSS framework.
  • Experience with GitLab, including repositories, branches, merge requests, code reviews, and issue management.
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing large, mature, mission-critical applications.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience performing code reviews and validating development work completed by other engineers.
  • Experience with automated testing, functional testing, regression testing, or integration testing.
  • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools in a professional engineering environment.
