Job Description

Role: Linux Websphere Application Developer

Duration: 6 months

Location: Addison, TX

Job Description:

Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Typically 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.

Qualifications

5+ years supporting Java application deployment in Linux WebSphere

5+ environment. Experience configuring WebSphere 8.5, and MQ 7.5 , IBM

5+ BPM/WPS

5 to 7 years experience with build and deployment automation

Expertise in Shell, Batch, wsadmin Jython/Python scripting

Experience with source control systems like Team Foundation Server (TFS), CVS, and TFS Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

Strong understanding of distributed and Internet based applications

Working knowledge of all application components like Oracle & SQL database, queuing solution and LDAP

Hands on experience with WebSphere MQ in Linux environment, MQ cluster configuration and MQ error log

Ability to provide specifications for new Website and Load Balancing configurations including SSL Certificates

Well versed in Linux and Windows operating systems.

Good understanding of Monitoring tools and using them to troubleshoot Introscope, Tivoli, Splunk, sitescope, Dynatrace, BMC patrol, Aternity etc.

Automation Expertise in Blade Logic to automate the tasks : Deploy, config, install, schedulers etc.

Experience with Ticketing systems/tools HP, Remedy, Request IT.

Ability to work well with a team, and strong oral and written communication skills

WebSphere All the way from installing, configuration, troubleshooting, Performance Tuning etc a plus.

Knowledge of supporting technologies/products - SSO product - Siteminder (SSO), Loan balancer - BIG IP F5, CDN Akamai a plus.

Experience with IBM automation tools uBuild/uDeploy a plus.
