Job description

Are you a driven college student eager to make a real impact at a cutting-edge technology company? Xometry's Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in the manufacturing industry.

What You'll Do:

As a Customer Support Intern at Xometry, you'll be at the forefront of driving customer satisfaction through providing operational support and cross functional work relating to our customers. You can expect to work in an environment that encourages entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on experience across functional areas. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist customers via email, chat, and phone by answering product, order, and account-related questions, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

  • Support daily operations by documenting customer interactions, updating internal systems, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Engineering) to improve customer experience and identify recurring issues or process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing degrees in: Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Supply Chain Management etc.

What We're Looking For:

  • Academic Excellence: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Strong Work Ethic: Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period (June 8 - August 14, 2026)
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A passion for problem-solving and a desire to drive results
  • Legal Authorization: Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
  • Location Requirement: Ability to commute to our Lexington, KY or North Bethesda, MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week

The estimated base pay rate for new hires into this role is $20.00 per hour depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location. This is a temporary position.
