Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Development Director in Lake Forest, IL.
Summary:
The Application Development Director will drive enterprise application modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This role will lead the delivery of customer, broker, and employee-facing digital platforms, oversee enterprise application enhancements, and partner with vendors and systems integrators to execute strategic technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Lead application development and digital transformation projects
* Drive delivery of modern portal solutions and digital experiences
* Oversee enterprise applications and SaaS platform enhancements
* Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs)
* Partner with systems integrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders
* Present and communicate effectively with executive leadership
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of application development, technology leadership, or software delivery experience
* Experience with Microsoft technologies and Azure environments
* Strong understanding of application architecture and modern software development practices
* Proven success leading cross-functional teams and large-scale initiatives
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
Preferred:
* Experience with portal modernization initiatives
* Exposure to Workday, Adobe, or similar enterprise platforms
* Background in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
