MISSION & PURPOSE:
- The IFS Application Consultant is responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting IFS solutions that enable customers to achieve their business objectives. This role works closely with business stakeholders and project teams to translate requirements into effective system configurations aligned with IFS best practices
- The Application Consultant acts as a key delivery team contributorโbridging business processes with system functionality, supporting solution design activities, and ensuring successful execution of ERP consulting, implementations, and upgrades. The objective is to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs while minimizing risk and ensuring efficient adoption
- We are seeking an Application Consultant who is comfortable working directly with business users and project teams, with strong expertise in IFS Cloud and earlier Apps versions and a proven ability to support delivery across complex ERP initiatives

- IFS Solution Expertise: Solid functional knowledge of IFS Cloud and earlier IFS Applications versions across relevant modules, with the ability to configure and support solutions aligned to business requirements
- Requirements Translation & Configuration: Ability to gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into system configurations, ensuring alignment with standard functionality and project scope

DOMAIN-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (IFS FINANCE MODULES)
- Financial Process Knowledge: Understanding of core financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting
- IFS Finance Configuration: Experience configuring IFS Finance modules, including chart of accounts, posting controls, financial structures, payment processing, and period management
- Financial Data & Controls: Understanding of financial data structures, reconciliation processes, and internal controls to support accurate and compliant financial operations
- Reporting & Period-End Processes: Ability to support financial reporting requirements and period-end close activities, ensuring system configurations align with business and regulatory requirements
- Cross-Module Financial Integration: Awareness of how financial processes integrate with other functional areas (e.g., Procurement, Projects, Manufacturing), ensuring accurate financial impact and data consistency across transactions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and analyze business requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation review, translating findings into functional designs and system configurations
- Configure IFS applications to support defined business processes aligned with requirements, scope, and best practices
- Support solution design activities with Solution Architects and senior team members, contributing functional expertise
- Facilitate and participate in solution workshops to validate requirements and align stakeholders on design decisions
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation including configuration details, process flows, and design specifications
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data migration, and system extensions
- Participate in testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, or design gaps and support resolution efforts
- Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer to drive system adoption
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, templates, and methodologies

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ERP implementation or support experience in a consulting or Professional Services environment
- Strong functional knowledge of IFS Cloud or earlier IFS Applications versions
- Experience across ERP implementation phases including requirements, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Strong understanding of ERP concepts including business process design, data structures, and configuration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional, fast-paced consulting environments
- Experience supporting documentation and multi-workstream delivery
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
