Job description

Assistant Medicaid Coordinator

  • Assist with Financial Interview for Medicaid application process

  • Having pt/family sign authoriztion and order all documents related to application

  • Assist with order of all documents and follow up with financial institutions

  • Assist with Medicaid application/conversions

  • Assist with follow up with case worker

  • File fair hearing and attend if necessary

  • Budget corrections if necessary

  • Assist with yearly Medicaid recertification

  • Enrollments in mandatory MLTC plans

  • Assist with educating families about income payments and rquesting signatures

  • Discuss with Private Patients finance options

  • Guardianship petition whe necessary

  • Assist with HMO disenrollments, MLTC enrollments

  • Assist with preparing any requests from comprehensive related to establishment and continuation of payor sources

  • Experience necessary, experience in long term care preferred

  • Assist with AP/AR responsibilities

  • Resident funds

  • All other duties assigned
