HR Operations Intern
Department: Human Resources
Location: Corporate Office (In-Office)
Internship Length: 10 Weeks | June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, In-Office
Position Overview
The HR Operations Intern will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team by assisting with projects and processes that enhance organizational efficiency, employee engagement, and compliance. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functional areas, including HR operations, employee relations, workforce analytics, store operations exposure, and process improvement.
The intern will gain practical experience using HR systems, audits, tools, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional partners and learning how HR supports both field and corporate teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects to understand workflows between HR, Store Operations, and field leadership
  • Conduct store visits with HRBPs or field partners to gain insight into restaurant operations and workplace dynamics
  • Support field HR teams with documentation, engagement initiatives, and information gathering
  • Learn and navigate the UKG HRIS to support personnel actions, audits, reporting, and general HR operations
  • Review HR forms, guides, and checklists to identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization
  • Assist with basic HR paperwork, including performance documentation
  • Support HR audits by reviewing employee files and system records for accuracy, completion, and compliance
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including communication drafts, survey reporting, and follow-up actions
  • Support employee relations processes by gathering facts, documenting information, and assisting with investigations
  • Review and assist with exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities to improve retention
  • Analyze turnover and workforce reports to identify patterns, concerns, and areas for operational improvement
  • Compile data from exit interviews, store visits, and HR audits to support leadership insights
  • Develop HRBP store visit guides to promote consistent expectations and standards
  • Research HR best practices and employee engagement trends to support project development
  • Assist with leadership training initiatives, including content preparation, material organization, and presentation support
General Intern Program Responsibilities
  • Complete a capstone project focused on the assigned discipline and present findings to stakeholders during the final week of the program
  • Perform additional administrative and project-based duties as assigned
