Job description

Position Summary

1. Analyze external and internal business environment along with current business status to strategically identify critical issues and develop responsive strategies to set the course of action.
2. Develop action plans to strengthen competitiveness based on assessment of internal competencies and processes.
3. Communicate strategic vision globally and execute high priority tasks to support top management.

Role and Responsibilities

The Manager, Strategy - Digital Appliances (DA) will support the Digital Appliance (DA) team, with critical market and business insights to Top Level Executives using analytics, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic initiatives forward. As part of the Analytics organization, the team utilizes data and strategy to develop & deploy short term and long-term category & channel strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Digital Appliance management to define the corporate/business division strategy and to translate into concrete initiatives, business plans and priorities

  • Work closely with the DA leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are in line with Samsung Global and Samsung Electronics America medium-and long-term strategy.

  • Develop business case, incubate and manage critical strategic projects from concept to launch.

  • Support and apply in-depth strategic insights and thought leadership on appliance industry, channel, and consumer trends.

  • Monitoring key market developments that can influence SEA business (competitor, macroeconomic, etc.).

  • Manage, analyze and provide market share reporting for the digital appliance division

  • Extracting insights from open (media reports, market reports, government data, expert interviews) and internal sources (business performance and P&L reports, etc.)

  • Drive all Executive Communications for the strategy team through working with Top Management to develop best in class presentation and communication materials.

Skills and Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (MBA preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or Finance

  • 5+ years ' experience as a strategic and problem-solving thinker who can turn strategic objectives into practical (experience working in consulting, or internal strategy roles preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and facility for establishing relationships cross-functionally and cross-divisionally

  • Strong presentation skills demonstrating the ability for effective story telling

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Adobe Analytics and Claude

  • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Adapt willingly and quickly to changing priorities and responsibilities.

  • Highly motivated, work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames

  • Can quickly learn the nuances of the data we leverage and be self-sufficient in task management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, or related field

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning tools

  • Familiarity with SAP ERP, Tableau and AI Search Tools

  • Experience presenting strategic findings to C-suite or VP-level stakeholders.
