Job description

Apple TV is seeking a world-class production executive for the pivotal leadership role of Head
of Series Production. This executive will be a primary architect and leader in executing the
physical production strategy for our globally significant slate of original series. This is a
mission-critical role responsible for overseeing productions of unprecedented scale and quality, ensuring that our content ambitions are realized to the highest standard, on schedule, and on budget, in full alignment with the Apple brand.
This position requires an individual with a demonstrated history of extraordinary ability and a
distinguished reputation in the entertainment industry. You will be responsible for providing
senior executive oversight from the earliest stages of development and packaging through to
final delivery, commanding a portfolio of high-profile projects in collaboration with Award-winning talent and premier production partners. This is a unique opportunity to build
and lead within a new paradigm of studio filmmaking.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Physical Production for Apple TV, the Head of Series Production will
be ultimately accountable for the successful execution of our entire current series slate. This is not a role for maintaining the status quo; it requires an individual with extraordinary judgment,
creative problem-solving skills, and the proven ability to pioneer new production
methodologies.
You will direct a team of production executives and serve as the central hub for
all physical production matters, providing critical guidance to our creative, finance, legal, and
post-production partners. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing Apple TV as the
premier destination for the world's most visionary content creators.","responsibilities":"Serve as the ultimate accountable executive for the physical production of all Apple Original Series, providing strategic oversight and final sign-off on production plans, schedules, and budgets.
Architect and direct the master production and post-production schedules for the TV slate, ensuring a viable and efficient workflow that aligns with Apple’s global content strategy.
Provide critical executive oversight and final approval on all budgets, applying an expert-level understanding of script breakdown, market rates, and financial structuring to ensure fiscal integrity from development to delivery.
Command cross-functional teams across the studio, directing collaboration with Creative,
Finance, Legal, and Post-Production to resolve high-stakes issues and ensure that productions run efficiently, on budget, and that all creative and strategic deadlines are met.
Leverage an elite, personal network of key creative and production talent to attract and hire the world’s best producers, department heads, and key crew for our most critical projects.
Directly interface with Legal to navigate and resolve unprecedented and highly complex legal, labor, and clearance challenges inherent in pioneering global productions.
Pioneer, establish, and implement new, best-in-class production policies and procedures that will define the operational backbone of Apple’s TV studio for years to come.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience as a Producer and/or Production
Executive, culminating in a senior executive role (e.g., VP, SVP, Head of Production) at a major
global studio, streaming service, or production company of distinguished reputation.
Direct experience managing an annual production slate
A portfolio of work that includes multiple projects recognized by major awards bodies.
Unmatched proficiency in analyzing and vetting budgets and schedules; mastery of Movie
Magic Budgeting/Scheduling, Word, and Excel is required.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent distinguished experience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $309,800 and $495,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
