The successful candidate will launch new products and lead the strategic development and proactive management of relationships with health and medical media, influencers, and the broader community, to drive awareness and credibility around Apple Health.
The successful candidate will bring energy, ideas, and an appetite to bring fresh storytelling to fruition. You will work collaboratively with Apple executives and a variety of other teams and functions to create and deliver activity that increases awareness and understanding. In this role, you will drive planning and execution of global health PR programs and initiatives that show how Apple is committed to empowering our users on their personal health journeys with intuitive features - built right into the products we all love to use every day.You will help us find new relationships amongst the talent and communities that use our products to deliver the world's most exciting work, and will support our efforts in finding new media and social platforms through which we can tell those stories.
15+ years of experience in public relations, influencer agency, or PR agency. Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing teams.Experience in health media relations and have developed a network of media contacts in corporate, consumer, tech, design, and cultural platforms.Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred. Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.Develops and delivers effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Analyses complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Understands internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs.Proven track record developing thought leadership content (op-eds, essays) and leveraging non-traditional media tactics to drive broader narratives around health.Successfully delivered creative PR campaigns - including social-first - that drove meaningful impact and conveyed a clear understanding of specific audiences.Familiarity working alongside government affairs teams, policymakers, or regulatory bodies on communications strategy.Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology. Self-starer who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Superb attention to detail.Able to work with ambiguity and on complex topics across multiple jurisdictions. Skilled in multi-tasking, delivery under tight timelines, adapting quickly to change.
