Job Title: Senior Mac Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Senior Mac Engineer to support a Department of Homeland Security contract. The Senior Mac Engineer will join an endpoint engineering and security team responsible for managing, securing, automating, and supporting enterprise Apple environments. This role will focus on macOS endpoint management, security, application deployment, automation, troubleshooting, and emerging Apple technologies to improve security, deployment efficiency, and the end-user experience.

Responsibilities: Administer and engineer enterprise macOS environments, including enrollment, configuration, applications, patching, compliance, and troubleshooting. Manage Apple endpoints using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune Platforms. Develop and maintain macOS configuration profiles, policies, compliance settings, restrictions, and security baselines.

Support automated provisioning and enrollment using Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE). Package, test, deploy, and maintain macOS applications, updates, scripts, and configurations. Manage macOS operating system and application patching to maintain compliance.

Develop automation using Bash, Zsh, PowerShell, or similar scripting technologies. Implement and troubleshoot endpoint security controls, including encryption, certificates, authentication, firewall, and endpoint protection. Analyze and resolve complex endpoint issues and develop long-term solutions.

Support vulnerability remediation, security assessments, and endpoint compliance initiatives. Evaluate new Apple hardware, macOS releases, and endpoint management technologies. Respond to escalated technical issues and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Participate in client meetings and special projects as required. Qualifications: Required: Ability to attain DHS EOD.

BA + 10 years' applicable experience, AA + 12 years' applicable experience, or 16 years' applicable experience. Strong enterprise macOS administration and engineering experience. Experience with Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, and/or comparable MDM platforms.

Experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment. Strong knowledge of macOS configuration, application packaging, deployment, patching, and troubleshooting. Experience with macOS scripting and automation using Bash/Zsh, PowerShell, or similar.

Experience with Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, SSO, certificates, and/or PKI. Experience developing endpoint security baselines, configuration policies, and compliance controls. Desired: ITIL v3 or v4 certification.

Jamf Certified Administrator or Jamf Certified Engineer certification. Apple professional certification. Experience with NIST, CIS, STIG, or other federal security baselines.

Vulnerability management experience. Experience integrating Jamf with Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, or other enterprise platforms. Experience supporting large-scale federal or highly regulated environments.
