Knoxville, TN | Roku Developer | Full-time
We are actively recruiting a Roku Developer for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid opportunity that will require regular onsite collaboration in Knoxville several days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about building high-quality connected TV (CTV) experiences at scale. Must have strong BrightScript/SceneGraph expertise and proven Roku app development experience.
Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Roku applications using BrightScript and SceneGraph
  • Implement UI components, playback functionality, and platform integrations based on product and design specifications
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver performant, user-friendly experiences
  • Integrate video playback solutions including HLS and server-side ad insertion (SSAI)
  • Optimize application performance across a variety of Roku device models
  • Debug issues, implement fixes, and monitor production app health
  • Contribute to app store submission processes and release management

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing Roku applications
  • Strong knowledge of BrightScript and SceneGraph architecture
  • Experience integrating video players, HLS streams, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with Roku certification, packaging, and deployment workflows
  • Experience with advertising frameworks and SSAI is a plus
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
