Our Apple Education team helps institutions transform their teaching and learning environments while growing top-line revenue for Apple. To realize this goal, we gain a deep understanding of the education sectors we engage with-at all levels from strategic to tactical. As a Higher Education Regional Manager focused on our West region, you will be responsible for the management and day-to-day supervision of a team of field-based Account Executives, Leadership Executives and Inside Sales Account Executives that partner with Higher Education customers to transform teaching and learning environments with Apple products. Through your leadership and inspiration, you will ensure the team is operating with efficiency and accuracy, meeting or exceeding performance targets, and receiving regular support from a professional development perspective. You will be the point of expertise and accountability for your territory, providing the training, resources, knowledge and infrastructure needed to support US growth objectives.
This is a home-based field sales leadership position that can be based in any of the job posting locations listed on the Careers Site. This role requires up to 50% domestic travel.
Description
As a Higher Education Regional Manager, you will lead and own the strategy for sales growth for your region. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to the team on managing and engaging with Higher Education customers and partners. In this position, you will collaborate with the in-country sales organization to ensure support on any key local initiatives and drive consistency in the team’s approach and strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep expertise in Higher Education and/or SLED is a plus
Ability to build, lead, and develop inclusive teams and attract and retain talent through performance management, coaching, guidance, and support
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to motivate and inspire others, articulate vision and purpose, and advocate for Apple’s values
Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate organizational structures, and manage complex relationships
Deep business acumen, strategic planning, and decision making skills; Forward-thinking mindset to analyze the market beyond the short term, foresee future possibilities, and translate data to plans, strategies, and actions
Creative complex problem solving skills
Passion for delivering a world-class customer experience
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure and clarity where none exists
Experience managing a remote/geographically dispersed team is a plus
Background driving performance across a large region, country, or functional area is highly preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 15+ years of related experience
5+ years of people leadership experience in technology sales, solution-based selling, or similar role leading individuals to attain revenue targets and drive business growth
Background working with channel partners and/or supporting multiple routes to market
Solid understanding of the Education vertical, including go-to-market strategy, customer profiles, market trends and challenges, key use cases, associated solutions, and competitive landscape
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
Must have a valid Driver’s License and access to your own reliable transportation to drive within your territory for customer meetings
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $217,200 and $326,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
