Leidos has an exciting opening for you as our next TS cleared Appian Software Integrator / Low Code Developer supporting DIA-NDOC (formerly NMEC) under our 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, and Operations Engineering/Manager on a broad scope of activities extending across the development of systems to include backend and frontend software engineering tasks. Have impact as part of a mission focused, solutions oriented, and adaptive team that values innovation, collaboration, and professional development.
We integrate off the shelf and new development efforts to sustain and enhance existing architecture and by leveraging cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence (Al), machine learning (ML) and cross-domain transfer systems to provide cutting edge requirements management, task coordination, data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members. Our program advances the state of the art in mission-focused big data analytics tools and micro-service development spanning the breadth of Agile sprints to multiyear research and development cycles. While the primary work location is at our client location in Bethesda, MD or other DIA or JRIC facility, we offer a flexible schedule, and some tasks may be performed remotely.
As an Appian Software Integrator / Low Code Developer, you will work collaboratively with other developers, systems engineers, technologists, and program leadership with a focus on the following task areas:
Work with a team of system integration engineers to successfully deploy release candidates to production environment.
  • Participate in test, staging and production deployment.
  • Integrate container-based-Appian using Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Rancher, Helm and other DevSecOps integration tools
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, including navigating Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to securely deliver updates to air-gapped networks.
  • Implement and monitor automated system integration testing (e.g., using Cucumber) to identify failed modules and components.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Foster an environment of collaboration with the different team members in the goal of providing quality service and product to our customer

To be successful in this role you need these skills (required):
  • Typically requires Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must possess an Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly
  • Experience with Appian
  • Experience with containerization
  • Experience with Agile practices
  • Experience engineering and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to work well on a team and a self-starter who can work on their own

You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:
  • Experience with systems at scale
  • Kafka or other message passing systems
  • Experience on a production/ enterprise system
  • Cloud infrastructure experience
  • DoD 8570/8140 Compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher).
  • Appian certification
  • Experience with any of the following technologies:
    • Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Grafana
    • Appian integration with PostgreSQL or other DB
    • SALT for deployment automation
    • GraphQL
    • Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash, specifically admin experience
    • Helm and Helmfile
