Site Merchandise Manager, NA Helly Hansen Workwear
Job Summary
We're looking for a Site Merchandiser to own the onsite shopping experience for our Helly Hansen Workwear ecommerce channel. You'll be responsible for driving product discovery, conversion, and revenue through thoughtful assortment presentation, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who blends analytical rigor with a strong eye for brand storytelling in an outdoor context.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end onsite merchandising strategy across the customer journey, including homepage, category pages, collections, search, product merchandising and campaigns.
  • Drive revenue, conversion rate and average order value by optimizing product assortment, ranking, navigation, personalization and merchandising strategies.
  • Lead seasonal launches, new product introductions, promotional events, and site merchandising execution to support commercial goals.
  • Analyze site, product, customer and merchandising performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities - translating insights into prioritized recommendations and measurable business improvements.
  • Develop, maintain and automate merchandising reporting, dashboards and performance tracking to support weekly, seasonal and strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure site accuracy and operational excellence by managing product data, pricing, inventory visibility, categorization, promotional setup/execution and overall site quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Planning, SEO, eCom Operations, Technology and Product teams to deliver a best-in-class digital customer experience.
  • Continuously improve the digital shopping experience by testing merchandising strategies, monitoring customer feedback and competitive trends, and implementing best practices that strengthen brand storytelling and commercial performance.

Leadership
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives by setting the onsite merchandising strategy, driving execution across teams, and influencing business decisions through data-driven insights. Operates with a high degree of ownership, prioritizing initiatives and ensuring alignment across Marketing, Planning, Creative, Technology, and Operations.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of eCommerce or digital merchandising experience, preferably in apparel, footwear, outdoor or workwear brands
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas (XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP), data cleaning, and reporting automation with large data sets. Candidates should be comfortable completing practical Excel assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, sell-through, inventory health)
  • Experience merchandising large product catalogs / data sets and seasonal assortments
  • Familiarity with CMS and ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar)
  • Experience working with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well in a fast-paced, and high-performance environment
  • Demonstrate a proactive, forward-thinking approach to drive continuous business improvement
  • Thrives in ambiguous environments and actively seeks out unanswered questions in the data
  • Passion for outdoor products and customer experiences a plus
  • Experience with AI-driven product recommendation, search and merchandising tools (Constructor.io, Bloomreach, etc)

Location: Denver, CO (hybrid, in-office ~3 days per week)
Compensation: base compensation range of $82,000 - $115,000 based in Denver, Colorado.
