Role Description The Creative and Technical Apparel Designer is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami-Dade County, FL. This role is responsible for developing apparel concepts from initial sketch to production-ready designs, balancing aesthetic appeal with fit, function, and manufacturability. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating technical packages, selecting appropriate textiles and reviewing fittings to ensure accurate garment construction and consistent sizing. The designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine styles, maintain brand standards, adhere to timelines, and support clear communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong design and concept development skills, with the ability to translate trends and brand direction into cohesive collections.
  • Proficiency in textiles and fabric selection, including understanding of fabric constructions, and appropriate applications.
  • Hands-on experience with trims and garment components, ensuring functional, aesthetic, and cost-effective choices.
  • Experience creating detailed technical packages (tech packs), including measurements, construction details, and bill of materials.
  • Working knowledge of design and technical tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD or pattern software) and basic garment construction techniques.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams such as production, sourcing, and merchandising.
  • Relevant education in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textiles, or a related field; equivalent experience in apparel design and development is also valued.
