VCA Magnolia by the Gulf Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama.

About Us

Our 3-doctor practice offers primary care, illness care, surgery, dentistry, and more. We see canine, feline, and exotic species patients, open Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. We are closed on weekends!

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

  • Compassionate patient care
  • Client education and care
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Radiology and diagnostics
  • Lab sample collection and processing
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Dentistry
  • Medication preparation and administration
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Medical recordkeeping
