Engineer Sr. Data/App Engineer (MS SQL/Azure App Services-Focused)
Location: Atlanta, GA (role is remote, but client wants someone located in Atlanta, GA)
Responsibilities
  • Partner with data engineering, development, and architecture teams to embed reliability into SQL schema design, workload management, job orchestration, and CI/CD deployments.
  • Monitor application status/health and drive incident management for SQL and Azure related issues and alert respective teams for remediation
  • Knowledge of SRE practices for systems leveraging MS SQL and Azure App Services for performance optimization, and operational automation.
  • Design and implement applications supporting MS SQL and Azure App Services workloads.
  • Leverage observability frameworks (monitoring, alerting, logging) tailored to MS SQL and Azure App Services performance, cost monitoring, query optimization, and system health.
  • Knowledge of implementing the web application stacks monitoring including UI, data, services, services bus, and containers.
  • Experience leading and supporting complex data and application ecosystems.
