Position Overview:

The Digital Marketing Internship is an excellent opportunity for a student with a focus in social media, website and app development to gain work experience with a professional WNBA team (Washington Mystics) as women's sports continues to grow. The intern will play a vital role in helping us bring our brand to life. This internship will run September 2026-May 2027.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write posts, create graphics, edit videos, and curate content aligned with brand voice.
  • Manage and populate social media content calendars, website and app content.
  • Monitor platforms, respond to comments/DMs, and engage with the online community professionally.
  • Assist with brainstorming, planning, and executing social media and email marketing campaigns.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze engagement, and report on campaign success.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program in digital marketing, social media or production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and After Effects
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content specifications (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative mentality with a passion for storytelling and design
  • Interest in sports, particularly women's basketball, is a plus
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
