Job description

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
Entry-Level Sales

Own the top of the funnel. Start conversations with great companies, create new opportunities, and build a career in B2B sales.

La Verne, CA · Full-Time · On-Site · Entry-Level Welcome · We'll Train You

01 — THE COMPANY

Tec Color Craft is a tight-knit, family-owned team that's been producing premium custom stickers for more than 60 years. We're a small company where people know each other, work hard together, and genuinely enjoy what we do.

We're looking for someone who fits that culture, outgoing, energetic, motivated, and easy to connect with. Someone who works well with a close team, enjoys an active lifestyle, and can build genuine relationships with our customers.

We print for brands across automotive, off-road, motorcycle, action sports, outdoor, fitness, apparel, food & beverage, and other lifestyle-driven industries. Many of the same industries and activities we're passionate about ourselves.

If you like good people, cool brands, an active lifestyle, and the idea of helping grow a company where you can make a real impact, you'll fit right in.

02 — WHY WORK HERE
  • Get in on the ground floor. Help build our growing business development team and have a real impact on where it goes.
  • Real tools. Real training. Learn HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern B2B sales.
  • Sell a great product. STICKERS! Made in the USA for brands across some of the coolest industries.
  • Family-owned and established. More than 60 years in business with a small, close-knit team.
  • Build a career. Learn sales from the ground up with opportunities to grow into Account Management and other sales roles.

  • 03 — THE MISSION

    Start conversations and create opportunities.

Your primary job is to get on the phone every day and connect with companies that could be a great fit for Tec Color Craft. You'll prospect, introduce Tec Color Craft, learn about potential customers, follow up consistently, and turn conversations into qualified opportunities for our sales team. We're not looking for someone to sit around waiting for leads. We want someone who's excited to go find them.

    04 — WHAT YOU'LL DO
    • Make 15–20 quality outbound calls every day to prospective customers
    • Prospect through phone, email, and LinkedIn
    • Build targeted prospect lists using Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
    • Run and manage outreach sequences through HubSpot
    • Follow up on inbound leads and sample requests
    • Identify potential sticker and decal opportunities
    • Qualify prospects and book discovery meetings
    • Follow up consistently with prospects who aren't ready today
    • Keep HubSpot clean and current — every call, email, conversation, and next step
    • Research target companies and industries
    • Hit daily and weekly activity goals
    • Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer events
    • Have fun; we take the work seriously, but not ourselves

The phone is a big part of this job. You should be comfortable picking it up, starting conversations, hearing "no," and making the next call.

05 — WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
    • Calls Made — 15–20 quality outbound calls every day
    • Conversations Started — Consistently connecting with new prospects and opening doors
    • Meetings Booked — Turning conversations into qualified discovery meetings
    • Qualified Opportunities — Creating real potential customers, not just activity
    • Pipeline Created — Sourcing opportunities that turn into a growing new-business pipeline
    • Consistent Follow-Up — Making sure good prospects don't fall through the cracks
    • CRM Quality — Keeping HubSpot clean, current, and useful

    06 — WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't need years of sales experience. We're looking for someone who is personable, competitive, coachable, energetic, organized, curious, positive, resilient, and self-motivated.

    • Clear communicator who's comfortable talking to people you don't know
    • Confident on the phone and willing to start conversations
    • Organized and consistent with follow-up
    • Self-motivated and comfortable working toward daily goals
    • Coachable and genuinely interested in learning
    • Positive and resilient when you hear "no"
    • Hungry to learn and build a career in sales

07 — YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF
    • People-facing experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, sports, or a similar environment
    • Competitive by nature; whether that's come from sports, school, work, or somewhere else
    • Interested in the industries we serve; automotive, motorcycles, action sports, outdoor, fitness, apparel, brands, food & beverage (and expanding to new markets)
    • Naturally curious and enjoy meeting people, learning about companies, and figuring out how things work

    08 — WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
    • Prospecting and cold calling effectively
    • Modern B2B sales and business development
    • HubSpot, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
    • Internal ERP and manufacturing systems
    • Identifying and qualifying real sales opportunities
    • Consultative sales and discovery
    • How brands source and purchase custom printed products
    • Custom printing and manufacturing
    • Managing and growing customer relationships

  • 09 — WHERE THIS ROLE GOES

BDR → Account Manager → Continued Sales Growth

This isn't meant to be a dead-end entry-level position. It's an opportunity to learn B2B sales from the ground up, prove yourself, take on more responsibility, and grow with the company. We're building our business development team, and we're looking for people who want to build it with us.

    READY TO GET STARTED?

If you're personable, competitive, curious, and not afraid to pick up the phone, we'd like to meet you.

You don't need years of sales experience. You need the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and the drive to get better every day.

    • Come sell stickers, work with great brands, and build your sales career with us.
