Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer Lead / Architect

 Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to design, develop, and support a headless content management platform that delivers dynamic content to enterprise web applications. This role will focus on content modeling, Content Fragments, GraphQL-based content delivery, API integrations, and scalable content management solutions supporting multiple brands and customer experiences.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain AEM content models, schemas, and reusable content structures.
  • Create and manage AEM Content Fragments for legal content, disclosures, customer communications, promotional campaigns, verification messaging, and other business-critical content.
  • Develop and optimize GraphQL persisted queries to support efficient, scalable, and secure content delivery.
  • Configure and support integrations between AEM and API management platforms, including Apigee and AWS API Gateway.
  • Implement and support headless CMS architectures and API-driven content delivery solutions.
  • Support multi-site and multi-brand content management requirements across various digital experiences.
  • Partner with business, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to establish content workflows, governance processes, and approval mechanisms.
  • Implement content versioning, publishing controls, auditing, and rollback strategies.
  • Optimize content delivery performance through caching, content distribution, and best-practice CMS optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineering teams to integrate AEM-delivered content into modern web applications.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to scalable, maintainable content management solutions.

 Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience.
  • Strong backend AEM development expertise with AEM Headless CMS implementations.
  • Extensive experience with AEM Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and content services.
  • Experience designing content models, taxonomies, and structured content architectures.
  • Strong understanding of headless CMS patterns and API-first content delivery approaches.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and multi-brand AEM environments.
  • Experience integrating AEM with API Gateway platforms such as Apigee and/or AWS API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of content caching strategies, performance optimization, and content delivery best practices.
  • Experience working with content workflows, publishing processes, approvals, and governance models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Hands-on experience with AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
  • Experience integrating AEM content with React-based applications and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • Adobe Experience Manager certifications.
  • Experience supporting multilingual content management and localization initiatives.
