We are seeking an experienced API Governance Framework Lead to establish, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide API Governance Framework. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API Governance, API Security, Enterprise Architecture, and DevSecOps environments, with a proven track record of building governance programs for large organizations.

This role will partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Application Development, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure APIs are secure, compliant, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Establish and manage the API Governance Framework across the enterprise.

·         Align API policies with security and compliance standards.

·         Define governance processes, approval workflows, and lifecycle controls.

·         Identify and manage API deprecation and retirement activities.

·         Maintain API inventory, documentation, and compliance artifacts.

·         Conduct audits, gap assessments, and governance reviews.

·         Lead API security governance and risk assessments.

·         Enforce API standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.

·         Collaborate with Architecture, Security, DevOps, and Business teams.

·         Facilitate governance forums, reporting, and decision tracking.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

·         8+ years of experience in API Governance, API Management, Enterprise Architecture, or Cloud Architecture.

·         Proven experience setting up enterprise API Governance Frameworks.

·         Strong knowledge of API Security, Compliance, and Governance practices.

·         Experience with REST, GraphQL, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger, and Event-Driven Architectures.

·         Expertise in OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and OWASP API Security standards.

·         Hands-on experience with Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, or AWS API Gateway.

·         Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps environments.

·         Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
