Api Python information

What are some common challenges faced by API Python developers when integrating third-party services, and how can they be addressed?

API Python developers often encounter challenges such as inconsistent documentation, rate limiting, and unexpected changes in third-party APIs. To address these, it's important to thoroughly read and test API documentation, implement robust error handling and retry logic, and use environment variables or configuration files to manage sensitive credentials. Developers should also stay updated on API version changes and participate in relevant developer communities to share solutions and best practices.

What is an API Python developer?

An API Python developer is a software professional who specializes in creating, implementing, and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using the Python programming language. Their main responsibilities include designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs, integrating third-party services, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange, and writing clean, scalable code. API Python developers often work closely with front-end developers and other back-end engineers to support seamless communication between different parts of a software system.

Which Python job is in demand?

Python development roles, including Python developers, data scientists, and backend engineers, are highly in demand across industries such as technology, finance, and healthcare. Skills in frameworks like Django or Flask, along with knowledge of APIs and data analysis, increase employability. Certifications and experience with cloud platforms can also enhance job prospects.

What is the difference between Api Python vs Data Analyst?

AspectApi PythonData Analyst
Required SkillsPython programming, API integration, data manipulationData visualization, statistical analysis, Excel, SQL
Work EnvironmentSoftware development, backend services, data pipelinesBusiness insights, reporting, data interpretation
Common EmployersTech companies, startups, data-driven organizationsFinance, marketing, consulting firms

Api Python focuses on developing and maintaining APIs using Python, emphasizing coding and technical skills. Data Analysts interpret data to provide business insights, often using tools like Excel and SQL. While Api Python roles are more technical and development-oriented, Data Analysts focus on analyzing data to support decision-making. Both roles may overlap in data handling but serve different primary functions within organizations.

Will AI replace Python devs?

AI is unlikely to fully replace Python developers, as their roles involve designing, maintaining, and optimizing AI systems, which require human expertise. Python developers also work on diverse tasks such as software development, data analysis, and automation that benefit from creative problem-solving and domain knowledge. AI tools can assist developers but are not a complete substitute for their skills and understanding of complex systems.

What jobs can I do with just Python?

With Python skills, you can pursue roles such as Python developer, data analyst, automation engineer, or backend programmer. These jobs often require knowledge of frameworks like Django or Flask, and familiarity with version control and databases enhances employability.

How much do API developers make?

API Python developers typically earn between $70,000 and $130,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and industry. Skilled developers with expertise in RESTful APIs, Flask, or Django and relevant certifications tend to command higher salaries, especially in tech hubs or companies with complex integration needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an API Python Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an API Python Developer, you need a solid understanding of Python programming, RESTful API design, and experience with frameworks like Flask or Django, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, API testing tools such as Postman, and containerization platforms like Docker is commonly required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills set top developers apart. These skills ensure robust, secure, and scalable API solutions that meet business requirements and facilitate seamless collaboration within development teams.

Job description

Welcome to Acoufelt, LLC
Acoufelt specializes in delivering high-quality soft architectural acoustics solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients. We work with contractors, ceiling sub-contractors, designers, and architects to provide products that enhance and transform interior workspaces. Our portfolio includes a range of premium soft architectural materials and products designed for commercial projects.
General Description of Work:
Acoufelt is seeking an SDET / Test Automation Engineer to help establish automated quality practices for the internal systems that support our business operations. This is a hands-on, foundational role focused on building automated regression coverage, reusable test patterns, and repeatable validation across Salesforce and connected Enterprise Systems workflows. The right person will be comfortable building structure where limited automation exists today, helping systems developers adopt test-first habits, and contributing to configuration, troubleshooting, or admin work when it supports the team's delivery. This role is not a downstream QA function, a Salesforce administrator backfill, or a dedicated application security engineer - its primary focus is automated quality engineering. This is an in-person position, located at our Auburn Hills, MI Headquarters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium for browser-based test automation
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce - Apex, Flows, validation rules, permission sets, or integration points
  • Ability to write scripts or code in a modern programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools, SQL, data validation, and CI/CD concepts
  • Strong communicator able to collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and IT partners
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Automation & Regression Coverage: Build and maintain automated regression tests for critical Enterprise Systems workflows using Playwright or Selenium. Establish test automation patterns, conventions, and reusable framework components for the Enterprise Systems team.
  • Salesforce, Integration & API Validation: Create automated validation for APIs, integrations, data movement, and system-to-system business processes. Validate Salesforce flows, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, roles, and approval processes. Support security-aware testing for authentication, authorization, role-based access, input validation, and sensitive data behavior.
  • Business Process Understanding: Work with systems developers and Business Analysts to translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into meaningful automated test coverage. Develop a working understanding of Acoufelt's internal processes so coverage reflects real operational use. Identify high-risk workflows and coverage gaps across Enterprise Systems delivery.
  • Collaboration & Developer Enablement: Help systems developers move toward developer-owned automated testing and more testable system design. Support defect investigation, root-cause analysis, and release validation when automation surfaces risk. Provide targeted development, configuration, or admin support when it helps the team deliver.

General Qualifications & Education:
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, or development roles with a strong testing focus.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium for browser-based automation.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce - Apex, Flows, validation rules, permission sets, or integration points.
  • Ability to write scripts or code in a modern programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar).
  • Experience with API testing tools, integration validation, SQL, and version control/CI/CD workflows.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and bonuses
  • Comprehensive health insurance including a choice of two medical plans, dental, vision, employer paid health savings account, and voluntary accident, hospital, life, critical illness.
  • Paid Time Off starting at 15 days with carry over
  • Collaborative wellness program
  • Paid volunteer time off
  • 401k employer match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Rewards and Recognitions
