Job description

API Multi certified Inspector

HMT has a need for an API 510/570 certified Inspector to assist with performing inspections in accordance with current API standards and recommendations: 

• Perform API 510/570 internal/external inspections per customer’s scope of work

• Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility and customer

• Properly interpret ITP’s, equipment drawings, client specifications, codes and industry standards

• Ensure that all site and HMT safety policies and procedures are being followed

Required Qualifications:

• Must have current API 510/570 Certification

• Minimum 3-year 510/570 work experience

• Must be technically competent and knowledgeable in damage mechanisms

• Must have current TWIC Card

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills

• Must be competent and thorough in report writing and recommendations

• Must have good computer skills

• Must be familiar current API codes

• Must be knowledgeable in NDE processes required for inspections and repair

• Must be able to pass DISA background and Drug Screen (hair follicle)

• Must be able to pass a FIT test and perform inspections under supplied air

• API 570

• API 653

• API 936

• AWS CWI
