Our evidence-based, client-centered programs span the full continuum of careโ€”including detox, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) services.


Position Summary:

Apex Recovery is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Consultant to join our expanding team. This role is vital to developing and managing partnerships with hospitals across Tennessee. The ClinicalConsultant serves as a liaison between Apex Recovery and medical/behavioral health hospitals, streamlining the referral process for patients in need of detox, residential, or outpatient behavioral health services.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with hospital-based Case Managers, Social Workers, Nurses, Physicians, and other key clinical staff
  • Serve as an expert resource on Apex Recoveryโ€™s treatment offerings and referral process
  • Proactively identify patients appropriate for treatment at Apex Recovery and support hospital staff in coordinating seamless transitions to care
  • Provide education and in-services to hospital teams on behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment options
  • Collaborate with Apexโ€™s admissions, clinical, and medical teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach activity, referral tracking, and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Experience working in hospitals, treatment centers, or behavioral healthcare settings
  • Understanding of substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and treatment levels of care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel regularly throughout Tennessee
