Salary – $13.00/hr to $16.00/hr (based on skills and years of experience)

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Must pass a background check.

3. Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.

4. Detail-oriented and thorough.

5. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.

6. Ability to keep the property clean and orderly.

7. Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

a. Performs cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout assigned property.

b. Picks up trash and empties trash containers.

c. Performs light repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.

d. Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces.

e. Washes windows.

f. Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.

g. Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges and cleaning snow from sidewalks.

h. Examines property for safety hazards; reports problems to Facilities Manager or other appropriate staff.

i. Ensures that cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.

j. Modifies scope of cleaning and maintenance based on specified needs of the particular property (apartments, parking facilities, etc.)

k. Performs other related duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Ability to endure prolonged walking, sitting, standing, use of pulling, bending, and stooping movements.
