Job description

Unarmed Security Officer – Residential Apartment Complex
We are seeking a dependable, professional, and observant Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a residential apartment complex.
This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, guests, property management, and law enforcement when necessary.
Schedule
Friday – Sunday
36 hours per week

Applicants must be available to work all three scheduled days.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine patrols throughout the apartment complex, including common areas, parking lots, entrances, and exterior areas.
  • Monitor the property for suspicious activity, trespassing, safety hazards, and violations of property rules.
  • Maintain a professional and highly visible security presence.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
  • Document all incidents and unusual activity through detailed and accurate reports.
  • Maintain daily security and patrol logs.
  • Enforce property policies in a respectful, professional, and consistent manner.
  • Assist residents and guests when appropriate while maintaining security responsibilities.
  • Immediately report serious incidents or safety concerns to supervisors, property management, and/or emergency services.
  • Cooperate professionally with property management and local law enforcement when required.
Requirements
  • Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License REQUIRED

  • Must speak and communicate fluently in English

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to write clear and professional incident reports.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and consistently available for the Friday–Sunday schedule.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
  • Must be observant and capable of remaining alert throughout the entire shift.
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional during emergencies or confrontational situations.
  • Previous security experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks and screenings.
