    Position Summary
    The purpose of this position is to stage, label, and load windows onto trailers. This is done by hand only.
    Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

    • Stage (windows, sliding doors, or screens) for next day's shipment.
    • Use the packing list to locate products and stage for loading onto trailers.
    • Use proper loading techniques for stacking product. Secure product with proper straps.
    • Verify no windows were left behind at the end of every shift.
    • Keep work area neat and clean.
    • Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.
    Qualifications and Skill Requirements
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • Ability to pass color blindness test
    • Experience in warehousing or shipping environment preferred
    • Use of hand held scanner a plus
    • Experience using computers.
    • Be vigilant about safety
    • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

    Physical Demands
    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk,and move throughout the manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 100 objects per shift, between 65 to 120 pounds and be able to push objects up to 250 pounds with 2nd man and regularly use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects and control, as well as reach with hands and arms. The role may require occasional climbing, balancing, stooping ,kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Effective commnication skills are required, including the ability to talk and hear, and specific vision abilities such as close vision and color acuity are necessary.
    Work Environment:
    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An individual is required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
    At YKK AP America Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.91 to $20.65, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
