Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable SMT Technician to join our client’s electronics manufacturing team in Richardson, TX. If you are a motivated team player with a passion for precision manufacturing and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.

Pay Rate: DoE

Schedule: Monday - Friday
1st shift - 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
Summary: Sets up and runs SMT automated assembly equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set-up, operate and maintain DEK 248 stencil printer.
  • Set-up, operate and maintain MyData MY9 series Pick and Place machine as well as routine maintenance.
  • Run and verify heat profiles for Heller reflow oven.
  • Set-up, operate and maintain AOI machine.
  • Work with solder paste, and understand its characteristics, proper handling and storage.
  • Coordinate jobs flowing through SMT line with planning personnel.
  • Work with team members to produce surface mount PC boards.
  • Interacts with internal QC and Test Department to eliminate placement/ solder process errors.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a Customer Service-oriented mindset in dealing with in-house customers.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of one year direct related experience.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write effective daily correspondence and display the ability to communicate effectively to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and Bills of Material.  

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
