Schedule: 9:00am to 5:30pm (Monday through Friday)

About the Role

The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations and ensuring orders are accurately processed, packed, and shipped on time. This role leads and supports the shipping team, coordinates workflow, and helps ensure customer orders meet AO Swag’s quality and shipping standards.

The Shipping Team Lead will work closely with Production, Customer Service, and Management to resolve issues, prioritize orders, and maintain an efficient shipping operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Shipping team to meet daily shipping targets, deadlines, and service expectations
  • Coordinate daily job assignments and workflow to maximize efficiency and ensure orders are shipped on time
  • Oversee the accurate picking, packing, labeling, and processing of customer orders
  • Verify orders for accuracy, including quantities, products, shipping addresses, and shipping methods
  • Monitor shipping progress and prioritize orders based on deadlines, carrier schedules, and business needs
  • Train team members on shipping procedures, quality standards, equipment, and best practices
  • Assist team members with complex, high-priority, or time-sensitive orders as needed
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and escalate order, system, equipment, or carrier issues to management when necessary
  • Coordinate with Production and other departments to ensure completed orders move efficiently through the shipping process
  • Monitor and maintain shipping supplies, equipment, and work areas
  • Ensure packages are properly prepared and meet carrier requirements
  • Assist with carrier pickups and ensure shipments are ready according to scheduled pickup times
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, or a similar fast-paced environment required
  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of shipping, packing, labeling, and order fulfillment processes
  • Experience working with shipping software, ERP systems, or carrier platforms preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
  • Effective communication and team leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple orders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check

Schedule & Physical Requirements

Schedule

  • 9:00am to 5:30pm (Monday through Friday)
  • Overtime may be required during peak production periods in accordance with business needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs.
