Therapitas has served Spanish-speaking families in Oklahoma since 2015 with one mission: ensuring Spanish-speaking children have the same access to quality therapy as any other child. If you are a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, we want to talk to you.

We’re hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient team in Oklahoma City. We provide trained interpreter support, so Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required. And for those who want to learn: we'll provide Spanish lessons or send you to Antigua, Guatemala.

Why Join Therapitas?

  • Mission-Driven Work: Be part of a team that expands access to care and makes a meaningful difference for children and families.
  • Spanish Immersion Program (SIP): Want to learn Spanish? We'll send you to Antigua, Guatemala to immerse yourself in the language and culture. We partner with schools and host families to give you a structured, safe experience abroad. All experience levels welcome. Watch this video for more information about SIP.
  • Work-Life Balance: Documentation gets done at work, not at home. We build documentation time into your schedule, protect your lunch hour, and use unfilled cancellations as additional documentation time.
  • Structured Mentorship and Support: New hires go through a formal training and ramp-up period, with ongoing support through regular one-on-ones, documentation guidance, and professional development.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside experienced OTs, PTs, SLPs, and support staff who value teamwork, growth, and excellent care.
  • A Sustainable Caseload: Most therapists carry about 23–28 hours of direct therapy per week, with caseloads built around experience and preferences.

What You’ll Do

✔️ Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans of care for pediatric patients.
✔️ Provide skilled intervention to support fine and visual motor skills, sensory processing challenges, executive functioning, and overall functional independence.
✔️ Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical presentation.
✔️ Document services in our easy-to-use EMR to meet clinical standards and payer requirements.
✔️ Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and other team members to provide coordinated, family-centered care.
✔️ Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy students.

What Your Caseload May Look Like

You’ll see mostly toddlers and school-age children, with some infants and adolescents. Patients may range from 2 weeks to 20 years old. Common diagnoses include developmental delay, sensory processing challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic or neurological conditions.
