We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team of talented engineers and scientists in the design and development of specialized systems for a variety of highly valued customers.
Duties will include but are not limited to:

  •       Support the development of new and existing sensor electronics packages and mechanical systems
  •  
  •       Develop strategies and concepts to solve challenging problems; Implement prototypes
  •  
  •       Complete structural, thermal, and additional engineering analyses
  •  
  •       Create, revise, and manage 3D CAD technical data packages for full products and prototypes
  •  
  •       Hands-on development, fabrication, and testing
  •  
  •       Assist principal investigators with testing and review of conceptual designs and proof-of-concept models
  •  
  •       May supervise engineering interns and mentor technical associates

    Qualifications Required:

  •  
  •       Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  •  
  •       Understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles: statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, mechanical vibrations, heat transfer, materials selection, and physics.
  •  
  •       Proficiency in parametric solid modeling programs, e.g. SolidWorks or equivalent.
  •  
  •       Demonstrated engineering design process experience.
  •  
  •       Experience prototyping mechanical parts using both additive and subtractive processes.
  •  
  •       Experience managing product structures and assembly configurations in a PDM tool.
  •  
  •       Hands-on experience with mechanical systems design, troubleshooting, fabrication, and assembly.
  •  
  •       Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions aligned with established processes.
  •  
  •       Strong technical verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  •  
  •       Strong time management and organizational skills.

  •       Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  •       Background in component and electromechanical system design, modeling, and testing in experimental settings.

  •       Hands-on experience with design, testing, and operation of precision sensors
  •  
  •       Hands-on electrical system troubleshooting and fabrication
  •  
  •       Experience in software development with Python or MATLAB
  •  
  •       Design experience with non-ferrous metals and plastics
  •  
  •       Experience with ANSYS simulation software or equivalent completing structural and thermal analysis of parts, systems, and circuit cards
  •  
  •       Experience with ANSYS analysis modules: Static Structural, Steady-State Thermal, Modal, and Response Spectrum
