Security Officer (Midnight Shift) Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

A day in the life of a Security Officer at Colleton River:

  • Maintain and keep an active gate log and other required logs.
  • Timely response to alarm monitors received by gate monitor receiver or calls from the sheriff department or other alarm monitoring agencies.
  • Check all vehicles and person(s) for entry authorization by observing valid decal/passes and/or visitor logs. Issue authorized decal/pass and allow access onto premises.
  • Verify unregistered visitors.
  • Enforce state and local laws as well as Colleton River Club policies and procedures, including enforcement of the covenants.
  • Act as dispatcher between gates and patrol for all security communications.
  • Assist local agencies as requested.
  • Issue citations and give verbal and written warnings; this position may be required to assist local authorities with law enforcement activities as needed.
  • Accept and issue packages and record them in the package receipt log.
  • Patrol the premises and parameters of the Club to ensure safety and compliance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: **Applicants must be available on the specified days to be considered for the position.**

Thursday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Friday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Saturday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM



Work Atmosphere:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Strong communication skills.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour, plus an additional $0.50 per hour for overnight shifts.

Requirements

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or GED; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be SLED certified or eligible for certification, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Must be SLED certified or eligible for certification, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be CPR/AED and First Aide certified or have the ability to become certified.
