Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Engineer/Lead to join our Service Technology QA team for our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications in the FinTech ecosystem (Life Insurance / Annuity / Wealth Management). In this Test Lead role, you will drive testing efforts, optimize testing processes, and improve software quality across the organization. You will collaborate with project stakeholders and end-to-end testers, ensure adherence to standards and guidelines, and support the Development Manager in monitoring QA team performance and delivery metrics. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions to enhance customer service processes.

What You'll Do:
  • Quality Assurance Leadership

    • Ensure high-quality software delivery through planning, implementing, and automating QA testing.

    • Define and champion quality and testing best practices among development teams.

    • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable test automation code to support regression and functional testing.

    • Independently work on features and be accountable for project deliverables.

    • Effectively manage and prioritize tasks across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business timelines.

    • Manage a co-located work team often in multiple time-zones.

    • Understand and able to work with varying testing methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, Iterative).

  • Test Planning and Execution

    • Develop and deliver key project deliverables, including Project Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Data, and Defect documentation in a timely and organized manner.

    • Plan and implement various types of testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, performance).

    • Conduct integration testing to validate seamless interactions between system components.

    • Perform thorough API testing using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, or equivalent, focusing on endpoint validation, data flows, and performance.

    • Collaborate with business partners, developers, and stakeholders to plan, create, execute, and automate test cases.

    • Design test scenarios and scripts and compare results to functional and non-functional requirements.

    • Review developer and tester test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage.

  • Defect Management and Troubleshooting

    • Document and analyze test results, recommending corrective actions.

    • Isolate, reproduce, manage, and maintain defects and test case databases, and verify fixes.

    • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with different teams to drive root cause identification and resolution.

  • Collaboration, Communication, and Continuous Improvement

    • Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process.

    • Deliver timely updates and key deliverables, such as progress reports and test results, to stakeholders.

    • Participate in daily huddles, planning sessions, and project retrospectives.

    • Track key testing metrics and communicate progress towards overall testing goals to stakeholders.

    • Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort through automation.

    • Conduct exploratory testing and risk analysis for complex features.

    • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assisting business partners and end users in validating software quality.

    • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the test suite and explore innovative automation techniques.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $100,000-$143,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
