About the role
As the SVOD Strategy Senior Manager at Crunchyroll, you will support the development of the long-term strategy for the SVOD line of business (LOB). This position will report directly to the Director of SVOD Strategy within the COO organization to translate Crunchyroll's vision into a comprehensive set of initiatives and goals for the SVOD LOB. The team partners with key stakeholders, including Growth and Planning, Marketing, Product, and Business Development, to establish a common set of priorities for the SVOD LOB, while ensuring leadership is informed with the necessary insights to grow intentionally in a rapidly evolving market.
Core Areas of Responsibility
  • Drive the SVOD operating rhythm, ensuring alignment between strategic goals, quarterly priorities, and financial performance reviews across the organization
  • Support the ongoing evolution of Crunchyroll's global membership vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and fan needs.
  • Identify and evaluate big, long-term bets for Crunchyroll to consider over a 5-10 year horizon
  • Maintain and refine Crunchyroll's anime total addressable market (TAM) and fan segmentation models to inform membership strategy and LOB planning.
  • Monitor global and regional competitive trends to generate insights, learnings, and opportunities for the SVOD LOB
  • Conduct underlying research and analysis to generate insights that inform the 5-year strategic plan for the SVOD LOB
  • Develop and maintain regionalization playbooks and territory factbases to ensure stakeholder teams are updated and aligned on regional investment strategies and performance trends
  • Conduct territory-specific deep dive evaluations to ensure local business model dynamics are aligned alignment with long-term objectives
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking, competitive analyses, and regional optimization assessments of the membership model, including benefit offerings and price/value alignment.
  • Lead business cases for new or expanded membership benefits, including opportunity sizing, go/no-go recommendations, and test-and-learn design.
  • Execute ad-hoc projects and initiatives in support of the Senior Management Team (SMT)
About You
  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or enterprise strategy within a technology, media, streaming, or consumer digital business
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication skills, with experience presenting recommendations to C-suite leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted partnerships across cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities and business needs evolve
  • Prior experience in digital subscription services, advertising, e-commerce, or consumer technology is a plus
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
