General Statement
Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Gallatin College seeks course instructors to teach in Bozeman in one or more of the following specialty areas:
  • Blueprints, Codes and Estimating
  • Architectural Construction and Materials
  • Technical Drafting
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Solidworks
  • Manufacturing Processes
  • Mechanical Detailing
  • Architectural Drafting
  • Computer Rendering
  • Computer Repair and Maintenance
  • Civil Drafting
  • Presentation and Animation
  • Statics & Strength of Materials for Drafting

Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Three years' experience in related field
  2. AAS or similar degree in related field
  3. Demonstrated experience working with and engaging students and colleagues within and outside the department

Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Five or more years' experience in the field their topic of instruction relates to course content
  2. Bachelor degree in related field
  3. Industry standard Professional Certification in software (if teaching software)
  4. Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment

The Program
In the Design Drafting Technology program, students acquire the skills necessary for entry-level drafting jobs in the design/drafting industry using computer-based systems to produce technical illustrations used in manufacturing, production, and construction. Sometimes called a CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) technician, students will create design concepts that are workable in the real world. Using the CAD software, students perform calculations, develop simulations, and manipulate and modify the displayed material. Although most drafters work at computer terminals much of the time, students will also learn traditional drafting which entails creating manual drawings at drafting tables.
