Graphic Designer

Position Overview

As a Graphic Designer at Management Concepts, you will be responsible for creating engaging visual content across various platforms. Your role will involve being skilled at data visualization and creating high volume infographics while collaborating with instructional designers from the Learning and Development team and other members of the Marketing and Creative Services team to ideate and execute animated video assets for various social media channels.

This position will report to the Creative Director and will require in-person attendance at our Tysons Corner office one Thursday a month (subject to change).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Branding:
    • Develop and design print materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations and other marketing collaterals.
    • Experience working on digital banners, email design andwebsite and landing page graphics.
    • Utilize and develop a working understanding of Management Concepts' brand guidelines.
    • Demonstrate strong independent problem-solving skills while actively collaborating with the Creative Services team.
    • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects.
    • Able to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meet deadlines.
    • Follow guidelines for file organization and naming conventions.
    • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all designs.
    • Prior experience working on tradeshow material is a plus.
  • Infographics for Learning and Development:
    • Design compelling infographics that convey complex information clearly and effectively.
    • Partner with instructional course designers to develop impactful visuals for training materials,such as infographics, flowcharts, process graphics, and job aids that effectively communicate complex educational topics.
    • Communicate Management Concepts brand, through multiple channels including course and curriculum development materials.
  • Social Media, Video Editing and Animation:
    • Utilize Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to create and edit video content.
    • Design and animate motion graphics that enhance our digital presence.
    • Must have knowledge of best practices for social media design.
    • In-depth knowledge of the LinkedIn platform is a plus.
    • Assist Team Members in social media asset creation including
      -Static Graphics & Illustrations
      - GIFs and Videos
      - Carousels
  • Collaboration and Execution:
    • Work closely with marketing, content, and other teams to brainstorm and execute design ideas.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all design work.
    • Ensure accuracy and quality of final designs.

Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:
    • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) as well as Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with video editing and animation.
    • Working knowledge of the Ceros platform and Figma is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of 508 compliance is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in graphic design for both print and digital platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and manage social media graphics and campaigns.
    • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or fine arts.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experiencein an in-house creative department or agency.
    • Digital portfolio demonstrating completed design projects.
    • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, layout techniques, and typography.
    • Familiarity with current multimedia, web, and print trends.
    • Familiarity with principles of instructional design.
