The Role:
We're looking for an experienced Mobile Software Engineer to join the Scorability team. You will be working on developing cross-platform apps that serve athletes, parents and coaches in a meaningful way. The ideal candidate thrives in early-stage, hands-on environments with an excitement for shaping the future of mobile apps within an organization. You will collaborate across teams to create reliable, simple, and scalable apps that solve real problems and provide incredible value to its users.
What you'll do:
  • Build and ship mobile apps that delight customers-and meaningfully move the business forward
  • Own complex, high-impact features end-to-end across customer-facing experiences, from idea through production
  • Lead by doing: prototype quickly, experiment often, and ship alongside product and design to solve real customer problems
  • Make strong technical decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, balancing speed, quality, and long-term impact
  • Set the technical bar for mobile development through clean code, thoughtful design patterns, and pragmatic engineering standards
  • Help evolve the architecture as the product and team scale, making intentional tradeoffs between short-term velocity and long-term maintainability
  • Help establish a stable, scalable foundation using modern patterns to support a first-class mobile experience
  • Use agentic AI and modern tooling to improve code quality, speed up development, and raise overall effectiveness

Experience we're seeking:
  • 6+ years of experience in mobile software architecture, design and development, with specialty in developing React Native applications, preferably with Expo, for both iOS and Android
  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL
  • Deep knowledge of mobile architecture, navigation, animations, state management
  • Experience building mobile products in a fast-paced environment with high code quality
  • A data-driven approach with strong results and outcome-oriented focus, understanding the value derived from rapidly shipping code and learning/iterating on the results
  • Strong empathy for our customers, and a passion for exceeding their expectations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, connecting directly and effectively with cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to decompose complex business problems and communicate solutions succinctly
  • A passion for learning, continuous improvement, sharing, and working in a team environment
  • Independent and can manage your own projects and time with ease, all the while setting and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
