Attentive Science is a nimble Non-Clinical Contract Research Organization (CRO) providing support to the Pharmaceutical, Animal Health, Agrochemical and Food Industries to help them create a healthier future for us all. Our experienced scientists provide the highest quality results coupled with segment leading expediency and flexible solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients. The Pathology Technician is responsible for test article coordination for maintaining the company chemical and reaction inventory in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and company requirements. What will you be doing?Perform clinical pathology assays including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and clinical chemistry on animal samples (e.g., rodents, non-rodents).Prepare, handle, and process biological samples (blood, urine, plasma, serum, etc.) according to study protocols and SOPs.Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments such as hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, and urinalysis systems.Review and record test results accurately, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GLP documentation requirements.Manage proper sample tracking and inventory records.Assist with data entry, quality control checks, and generation of study reports.Support validation and troubleshooting of instruments and methodologies as needed.Maintain laboratory supplies, ensure proper labeling and storage of samples, and adhere to biosafety and other protocols.Collaborate with other laboratory teams (e.g., toxicology, necropsy, bioanalytical) to ensure efficient sample management and workflow.Participate in internal and external audits as required.Other duties as assigned.Education & Preferred Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Animal Science, or a related scientific field preferred.1–3 years of experience in a clinical pathology or clinical laboratory setting preferred.Experience in a non-clinical GLP-regulated CRO environment highly desirable.Familiarity with preclinical research procedures preferred.Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, analytical methods, and quality control practices.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Proficient computer skills (LIMS, Microsoft Office Suite).Excellent communication and organizational skills.Join the Attentive Science team and grow your career with us while contributing to the discovery and development of life saving remedies.
