Animal Rescue Coordinators focus on rescuing animals from emergencies and coordinating their care, often working in the field. Animal Shelter Workers primarily handle daily care and maintenance within shelters. Both roles are vital in animal welfare but differ in scope and work environment.
With the increase in animals being rescued and the need for ISO foster homes, we are in search of more Foster Coordinators for the team. Becoming a Foster Coordinator is one of the most important roles within our organization. You will be the face of ALIVE Rescue to potential and current foster homes (who often become adopters!) and help us to be able to save more animals by getting new foster homes approved.
Prerequisites: excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple/competing priorities, work as team player, detail-orientation, capacity to check email at least once per day, access to a vehicle, and a basic knowledge of positive reinforcement training methods and cat and/or dog behavior.
